With the sudden high temperatures throughout the South East, please be sure to keep your pets well watered and cool during the hottest parts of the day. Remember that heat stroke can kill and a dog can become overheated in less than 20 minutes!! If you suspect your dog is sufferring from heat stroke, immediately take them in to your animal hospital.

WHO WE ARE

Carolina Eskie Coalition is dedicated to promoting breed awareness, responsible pet ownership, spay and neutering, and supporting the rescue cause.

We operate as a small, grass roots, "not for profit" rescue organization dedicated to saving the American Eskimo Dog & giant Pomeranians in the Carolinas by providing them a safe haven and finding them a loving, forever home. All of our dogs are fully vetted, heartworm free, and altered prior to adoption.

Please keep in mind that references, including a veterinary reference, and a home visit are a required part of the adoption process. We are the only thing that stands between finding a safe and viable home for our rescue dogs. In addition, most of our dogs do require a fenced yard although in some cases, there are exceptions. Nordic breeds, for the most part have a "poor come recall" as they are very visually stimulated. An underground fence is not a consideration for these dogs.
